Bukit keteri: The National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 is adding a new location at the 504th Territorial Army Regiment Camp in Bukit Keteri, Perlis, for the implementation of Series 3 of 2026, which is scheduled to run from July 11 to Aug 24 this year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the National Service Training Department (JLKN), in a statement today, said that this addition brings the total number of main PLKN 3.0 locations this year to three, alongside the 515th Territorial Army Regiment Camp in the capital city and the 505th Territorial Army Regiment Camp in Pekan, Pahang.
Prospective trainees born in 2008 can check their status through the ePLKN 3.0 system starting from 3 pm today. The department emphasized that to ensure smooth registration and administration, selected trainees are required to confirm their attendance through the ePLKN 3.0 system no later than June 19, which is the deadline for the offer.
The attendance of selected trainees is mandatory. Failure to report without a reasonable excuse may be considered disobedience of orders and action may be taken under Section 18(1) of the National Service Training Act 2003, the department said.
Regarding the new location, the department noted that during the initial phase of operations, Bukit Keteri Camp will provide 120 places to accommodate female trainees for the implementation of the series. The camp is expected to be fully completed this year and will be capable of accommodating nearly 500 trainees at any one time.
The facilities at the camp have also been upgraded with a modern facility concept that includes accommodation blocks, basic infrastructure, and comfortable training facilities to strengthen PLKN 3.0 as a platform for developing identity and patriotism among youths.
The department also mentioned that announcements for the next PLKN 3.0 training series will be made in stages. Prospective trainees are advised to stay updated on official JLKN announcements and to regularly check the ePLKN 3.0 system.
