Banting: Thirty-two houses in Taman Langat Utama 2, RTB Bukit Changgang, Banting, were affected by flooding after a river bund located about 800 metres from the residential area burst last night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar reported that the incident took place at approximately 11 pm, with most residents having already evacuated the area. Despite this, the department received an emergency call at 4.12 am, which led to the deployment of six officers and personnel from the Banting station. They arrived at the scene by 4.35 am to conduct monitoring and relief operations.

Ashrul Riezal Asbar further stated that the Fire and Rescue Department has advised residents who remain in the affected area to move to safer locations immediately as a precautionary measure. This guidance aims to ensure the safety of those who might still be at risk due to the flooding conditions.
