Kuala terengganu: The 52-year-old captain of the Turkish yacht Daisy was found tonight after going missing for over 40 hours at sea when his vessel capsized during a storm in waters off Pulau Yu here on Tuesday. Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor reported that Ahmet Volkan Ata was located at 9:45 pm by a fishing boat seven nautical miles from Pulau Yu.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the captain is currently at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital and is in stable condition. Although he is not injured, further medical tests will be conducted to ensure his health following the ordeal at sea.

The incident involved three crew members, with one still missing. While Ahmet Volkan Ata has been recovered safely, efforts continue to locate his crewmate Eser Demirkol, who remains unaccounted for. The third crew member, Ates Demiroren, was rescued earlier.
