CDO urges biz owners to renew permits online

CAGAYAN: The local government here has encouraged business owners to renew their business permits in the early days of 2024 by using its online registration system.

On Thursday, the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) issued guidelines on the business renewal and registration process with “three easy steps” that will start on January 2 until January 20, 2024.

In these steps, owners or their representatives need to log in to the city government website and key in information as well as documents to be scanned or presented.

The payment of fees is also done online.

Asst. City Treasurer Leonil Mistula said in a statement that they expect to process at least 30,000 business permits for next year.

While the City Hall will still accept walk-in clients, he said transacting online is highly encouraged to avoid delays and other issues.

The implementation of digital transactions at the City Hall is one of the hallmarks of the city government here through the years, which gained the city various awards, such as being one
of the most competitive cities and getting the seal of good local governance.
