CelcomDigi’s Young Talent Programme A Pathway to Tech Careers

Accra:CelcomDigi's Young Talent Programme (YTP) offers a promising career acceleration opportunity for graduates aiming to break into the digital sector. The two-year programme is structured to provide participants with experience across various business units, enhancing their academic knowledge with practical industry skills.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Matthew Ng Yee Chun, a participant in YTP Cohort 1, found the programme's rotational structure particularly appealing. As he navigates the broad field of cybersecurity within CelcomDigi, Ng appreciates the opportunity to pick up diverse skills in the domain.

Ng was selected from over 3,000 applicants and is currently working on cybersecurity projects with CelcomDigi's engineering team. Transitioning from university to the corporate world, Ng noted the shift from individual assignments to a team-oriented work environment as a significant adjustment.

Meanwhile, Airina Hani Mohd Endan, from YTP Cohort 2, highlights the programme's hands-on approach and exposure to emerging technologies as its main attractions. A Universiti Malaya graduate, she attributes her swift adaptation to the fast-paced environment to her solid academic foundation.

Airina emphasizes the importance of self-confidence in the corporate setting, expressing her intent to explore AI's potential for social impact while maintaining a focus on cybersecurity. The YTP, launched under CelcomDigi's CD NXT initiative in August 2025, aims to cultivate high-potential Malaysian talent into future digital leaders, with participants focusing on AI, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, data analytics, and digital innovation.
