Beijing: The Second Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference and High-Level Symposium on Industry-Education Integration in Vocational Education was recently held in Beijing, drawing senior leaders from China and Pakistan. The event marked a significant step in strengthening vocational education collaboration between the two nations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) executive director Muhammad Aamir Jan were among the key attendees. Representing China, Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology (SDVCST) deputy party secretary and president Liu Fuyu also participated in the conference.
A highlight of the event was the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between SDVCST and NAVTTC, aiming to deepen vocational education ties. The conference, approved by Pakistan's federal cabinet and endorsed by NAVTTC, focused on building a China-Pakistan vocational education community and promoting industry-education integration.
The symposium featured a university roundtable themed 'Human-Machine Collaboration, Embarking on a New Journey of Intelligence.' During this session, SDVCST vice president and Party Committee member Xu Xiaoyan delivered a keynote speech.
Both countries engaged in in-depth discussions on implementing cooperation projects post-signing. Looking forward, SDVCST plans to use the 'Pakistan-Luban·Mozi College' as a platform to expand collaboration in areas such as curriculum resource sharing, training base development, talent cultivation, and faculty-student exchanges.
These initiatives aim to modernize Pakistan's vocational education system, provide talent and technical support for Chinese enterprises expanding globally, and further foster international education cooperation.
