Kuala lumpur: Civil servants are advised to continue enhancing their self-capabilities and not to become too complacent with the current situation so that they can not only carry out their duties more effectively, but also contribute to a more sustainable and progressive national development. Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) Speaker Tan Sri Dr Johari Abdul emphasized the importance of adaptability and leadership among civil servants, especially in dealing with emerging issues and the community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johari stressed the need for civil servants to collaborate with senior officials and engage in discussions to set short, medium, and long-term goals. He warned against stagnation, urging civil servants to remain dynamic and continually plan for the future. Johari expressed confidence in the spirit of civil servants, highlighting the necessity of igniting this spirit to drive progress.
Johari also highlighted the importance of knowledge and skills development, encouraging civil servants to think creatively and serve as role models for their communities. He pointed out that many civil servants work at the grassroots level, where they must set a positive example for others to follow.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) reported that the Malaysia MADANI Nationhood Course, organized by the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI), gathered 106 personnel from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya. The course aims to enhance national literacy and civic understanding among digital centre staff. The NADI Malaysia MADANI Nationhood Course Programme is set to continue in phases, with two more series planned for the following year, involving participants from other states.
