Sungai Buloh: In the spirit of Chinese New Year, more than 100 senior citizens were joyfully celebrated with the 'Bakul Makanan Mesra Kasih Sungai Buloh' aid, ushering in the celebration ahead of tomorrow's festivities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said he also distributed mandarin oranges, a symbol of prosperity, and red angpau, symbolising blessings, at an event organised by the Kampung Baru Subang Kochow Association with senior citizens of the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency.
Ramanan shared his feelings about the event, expressing how touched he was by the warm reception. He emphasized his commitment to connecting with the people through community-empowering programs that strengthen friendships.
In a Facebook post, Ramanan encouraged everyone to spread love and joy during the Chinese New Year celebrations, aiming for a cheerful atmosphere with family, friends, and fellow Malaysians.
He also expressed hope for the Year of the Snake to bring prosperity, well-being, and happiness to the nation. Additionally, he highlighted the dedication of the MADANI government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to implementing initiatives that fulfill people's aspirations.
Ramanan concluded by emphasizing the inclusivity of the MADANI agenda and wished everyone a prosperous new year with "Gong Xi Fa Chai! May all your dreams come true."
