Kuala lumpur: MIMOS Holdings Sdn Bhd today clarified that its collaboration with MyNasional Holdings Sdn Bhd is strictly focused on exploring potential strategic partnership opportunities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. Its chairman, Prof Dr Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod, stated that the collaboration is currently at an early stage and formalised under a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the focus of this collaboration is AI initiatives only. Prof Dr Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod emphasized that they are not aware of any alternative digital ID initiative related to this specific partnership. MIMOS Holdings also declared it holds no equity or ownership in MyDigital ID, and the collaboration does not involve any shareholding, equity participation, or merger with MyDigital ID.

MIMOS Holdings reiterated its commitment to transparency and responsible innovation, expressing anticipation for how this early-stage partnership might advance the application of AI for national digital initiatives.
