Sarawak: Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has urged community leaders and heads of ethnic groups to continue serving as a bridge between the government and the people to ensure the state's development policies are well understood.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Abang Johari emphasized that a clear understanding of government policies was essential to prevent misconceptions that could undermine social harmony, investor confidence, and the state's economic growth. He highlighted the crucial role community leaders play as grassroots leaders in communicating government policies to ensure the people understand the direction of the state's development.

Meanwhile, Abang Johari underlined the importance of education as the cornerstone of human capital development. He stressed the need for Sarawak's younger generation to compete in a global economy driven by technology and innovation. To support this, he mentioned that the Sarawak government allocates RM260 million annually to finance free tertiary education for eligible Sarawakians, regardless of their background.
