Seremban: A convenience store employee, Noorazwin Zullkifli, has entered a plea of not guilty in the Sessions Court to charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving nearly RM200,000 belonging to a cooperative.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Noorazwin, 36, was accused of misusing the POS terminal device of Koperasi Kampung LB Johnson Seremban Berhad, where she worked as a clerk, to transfer RM199,491.79 to her personal account. The alleged offence occurred between February 2, 2023, and March 22 last year at the cooperative's office in Bandar Enstek, Nilai.
The charge falls under Section 408 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to 14 years of imprisonment, whipping, and a possible fine if convicted. Noorazwin was granted bail at RM12,000 with a single surety, ordered to report monthly to a nearby police station, and surrender her passport to the court.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Syamimi Farhana Muhammad A. Aziz. Noorazwin, a mother of three children aged between four and seven, was represented by lawyer Ahmad Muzhaffar Abdul Razak.
