Couple Killed in Tragic Collision on Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing

Kluang:A road crash at Kilometre 72.5 of Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing claimed the lives of Nor Azilah A Rahman, 49, and Mislan Osman, 54, who were returning from Endau, Mersing. Their daughter, Ain Zanariah Mislan, 33, received the devastating news while at work, initially believing it to be a minor accident.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the couple's Hyundai Matrix collided with a lorry, resulting in their immediate deaths at the scene. Ain's two younger sisters, also in the vehicle, were injured. The family received confirmation from a driver who was behind the car at the time of the accident.

Ain shared that her father displayed unusual behavior before the incident, including a distinct smile the morning of the accident and a week of meticulous house cleaning. Her fathers actions seemed to suggest he anticipated a gathering at their home.

The crash involved a lorry driven by a 34-year-old man traveling from Kluang towards Kahang, while the Hyundai was coming from the opposite direction. Kluang police chief ACP Bahrin Mohd Noh stated that the Hyundai lost control, likely due to slippery road conditions, and veered into the lorryes path.
