CUCKOO Offers RM100,000 Funding To Realise Socially Impactful Creative Ideas

Kuala lumpur: CUCKOO International (MAL) Berhad (CUCKOO) is inviting young Malaysians aged 15 to 30 to turn their creative ideas into impactful realities through its recently launched RM100,000 CUCKOO Dream Fund.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, applications for the fund, themed "Fuelling Dreams, Funding Futures," are open until September 30. The initiative aims to give emerging creative talents a boost by pairing project grants with exclusive industry mentorship from CUCKOO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Friend and Dream Fund Mentor, Firdhaus Farmizi.

The RM100,000 fund will be distributed across two application cycles, with RM50,000 allocated per cycle. During Cycle 1, successful applicants can receive up to RM10,000 per project. The fund covers creative grants of up to RM5,000 to support original artistic deliverables and core project execution, while an additional RM5,000 is available for social impact alignment funds for projects that demonstrate a clear social cause, community outreach, or positive legacy.

The initiative welcomes applications from students, fresh graduates, and self-taught creators across five eligible domains: digital content and storytelling, music and sound, design and visual arts, performance and movement, and creative workshops. Emphasis is placed on creating social value through these projects.

CUCKOO has appointed singer-songwriter Firdhaus Farmizi as CUCKOO CSR Friend and Dream Fund Mentor to assist in shortlisting candidates. He will also directly guide grant recipients in executing their projects with both artistic excellence and meaningful message delivery.

Applicants are required to submit a two-minute pitch video along with a project proposal detailing their creative idea and social impact vision via the CUCKOO Dream Fund official webpage.
