Telemong: The decomposed body of a woman was found beneath a pile of oil palm fronds at a plantation in Batu 19, Jalan Karak-Kuala Pilah, Telemong, yesterday. Pahang Police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman reported that police received a call from a member of the public regarding the discovery at about 5 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, initial checks at the scene confirmed that the remains were those of a woman, but her identity has yet to be established. Several items believed to belong to the victim were also found near the site, including a black hooded sweatshirt, a green pair of sports trousers, a Casio wristwatch, and a pair of black slippers.

Yahaya stated that the body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital. The case has been classified as sudden death pending the post-mortem report.
