Decomposed Body in Bentong Identified as Indonesian Woman

Bentong: The decomposed body of a woman discovered beneath a pile of oil palm fronds in Telemong, Bentong, has been officially identified as an Indonesian national in her 40s.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman confirmed the woman's identity after her husband identified her earlier today. The body underwent a post-mortem, revealing that it had been decomposing for over two weeks. Authorities are continuing investigations to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Yahaya stated that the case remains classified as a sudden death report while further investigations continue at the scene. He provided these remarks following a ceremony at the PDRM Logistics Complex in Alor Akar, where Supt Mohd Azahari Mukhtar was appointed as the new Jerantut district police chief, and Supt Maziah Hamzah was named Pahang Criminal Investigation Department (Investigation/Legal) deputy head.
