Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the importance of developing the country vigorously and progressively while adhering to values and morals.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted the introduction of the MADANI concept, which aims to differentiate the nation's development from other ideologies by incorporating these principles. Anwar stressed the need for the country to advance in all fields without compromising on its foundational values.

During his speech at the opening of the National Level Al-Quran Recitation and Memorization Ceremony 1446H/2025, the Prime Minister addressed the challenges faced by human values in today's world. He was accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar and Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli.

Anwar also underscored the significance of mastering the Quran for the dignity and progress of Muslims, aiming to build a civilization and a MADANI nation. He further stressed the importance of focusing on language, digital skills, and artificial intelligence to ensure Muslims remain competitive in these critical areas.

The National Level Al-Quran Recitation and Memorization Ceremony, which began today, involves 109 participants and is set to continue until May 2, 2025, at the 2020 Hall.
