Kuala Lumpur: The government has announced a reduction in the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia by 3 sen, bringing the price down to RM2.77 per litre for the period of May 29 to June 4. This adjustment comes in response to fluctuations in global oil prices.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Finance Ministry issued a statement indicating that diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan would remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre. Meanwhile, the retail prices for RON97 and RON95 petrol will continue to be RM3.10 per litre and RM2.05 per litre, respectively.
The weekly retail pricing of petroleum products is determined through the Automatic Pricing Mechanism.
