Distribution Of Ihsan Cash Contributions To Be Completed In April – Mohamad

Kuala Lumpur: The distribution of RM30 million in compassionate payment (wang ihsan) to 200,000 eligible farmers nationwide is expected to be fully completed by this month, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu announced.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the distribution process has taken some time due to the need to comply with financial regulations and the company's internal procedures. Mohamad emphasized the importance of adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP), internal financial management standards, and obtaining approval from the company's top management for every fund disbursement process.

He explained that the distribution of contributions can only proceed once all compliance requirements align with the principles of accountability and transparency practiced by the company, particularly when dealing with large-scale funds.

Mohamad further mentioned that the RM30 million fund was fully received from Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) on March 28. He reassured that the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry (KPKM) is fully committed to addressing the farmers' concerns and ensuring the aid reaches all eligible recipients.
