The department emphasized the importance of this coordination to prevent surplus, wastage, and overlap of aid items, as well as damage to unused items. The department expressed appreciation for the public's concern and their consistent support in providing aid during disasters in the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the JKM outlined three channels for donations for disaster victims: the disaster operations control centre, the JKM headquarters, state headquarters or district office, and the relief centres. Donors are also encouraged to access infobencanaJKM at https://infobencanajkmv2.jkm.gov.my for information on the status of relief centres and the number of evacuees.
