Kuala Lumpur: Ahmad Zahid has highlighted the significance of the 9th of Zulhijjah, emphasizing its importance as a day filled with blessings, forgiveness, and mercy from Allah SWT. He encouraged Muslims globally, especially in Malaysia, to observe the day with reverence and gratitude.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid extended Day of Arafah greetings to Muslims, urging them to maintain good conduct and strive to be beneficial to others. He expressed hope that all Muslims would receive abundant forgiveness and mercy during this significant day.

Ahmad Zahid also called on Muslims in Malaysia to observe the sunnah fast of the Day of Arafah, as taught by Prophet Muhammad SAW. He encouraged increased prayers, recitation of zikir, seeking forgiveness, and charitable acts to fully embrace the blessings of the day.

Furthermore, Ahmad Zahid offered prayers for the safe travels of those returning to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha. He emphasized the significance of the Day of Arafah for hajj pilgrims, marking it as the day of wukuf in Arafah's plains, the pinnacle of the hajj pilgrimage.
