Kuala lumpur: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC), in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), has launched a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) titled 'Jerat' in conjunction with the 62nd Malaysia Day celebration. EAIC chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar stated that 'Jerat' highlights the dangers of abuse of power and underscores integrity as the nation's primary shield in upholding dignity and sovereignty.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the PSA adopts a dramatic storytelling approach to reveal the dark side of power misuse and its profound implications for society. The production is part of EAIC's continuous efforts to educate the public on the importance of integrity, particularly among enforcement personnel.

Dr Ismail Bakar expressed in a statement that through the dramatization in 'Jerat', the message is expected to resonate more deeply with the public, serving as a reminder of the grave consequences when power is abused. The PSA is set to air at noon today (Sept 16) across various platforms, including television, radio, and digital channels such as FINAS Malaysia's YouTube platform, RTM, Astro, Media Prima, and others.

The collaboration between EAIC and FINAS aims to reach a wider audience, encouraging Malaysians to reject misconduct and uphold integrity as a pillar for the nation's future.
