Easterlies to Bring Scattered Rain Showers Over Parts of Luzon

Manila: The prevailing easterlies will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some parts of Luzon, the weather bureau said Tuesday. Areas affected are Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Bulacan, Rizal, and Quezon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. PAGASA added that moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

According to Philippines News Agency, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country due to the easterlies. Severe thunderstorms could also result in flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned. The whole archipelago will continue to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas. No low pressure area is monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation, PAGASA said.
