Kulai: Eco World Development Group Bhd's subsidiary, Eco Business Park 6 Sdn Bhd, has completed the sale of two industrial land parcels in Kulai, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, to KNBDC Malaysia Five Sdn Bhd for RM280.8 million. According to BERNAMA News Agency, EcoWorld's president and CEO, Datuk Chang Khim Wah, stated that KNBDC's acquisition marks the final purchase of industrial land in the QUANTUM Edge industrial park. This development positions the park alongside notable entities like Microsoft and Princeton Digital Group, establishing it as a prominent digital and high-tech hub developed by a private entity in Malaysia.
Datuk Chang emphasized that this sale signifies a strong endorsement of their business parks as prime locations for hyperscale data center operations. He also highlighted the ongoing attractiveness of Iskandar Malaysia as a leading investment venue for both global and regional investors. The federal and Johor state governments have played a crucial role in this transformation through visionary initiatives and infrastructure improvements, which have attracted significant local and international investments to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), where QUANTUM Edge is located.
The developer noted that this transaction is part of EcoWorld's robust start to the financial year 2026 (FY2026), having achieved 52 percent of its annual sales target within the first four months. Industrial sales have been a substantial contributor, accounting for 36 percent of the cumulative sales during this period. With the sale to KNBDC, EcoWorld anticipates further growth in industrial sales for FY2026, underscoring the demand for its industrial products under the Eco Business Park and QUANTUM revenue models and the enduring strength of this market segment.
