Kuala lumpur: EdgeConneX, a pioneer in global Build-to-Suit and Build-to-Density data center solutions, has announced the acquisition of its second data center site in the Greater Osaka and Yawata areas of Japan. This acquisition brings the company's total data center platform capacity to 350MW of utility power. The expansion underscores the region's significant scalability potential. The new site is set to provide an additional 150MW upon completion, complementing the previously announced 200MW in Japan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a ceremony to mark the acquisition was held on August 7th with landowner Keihan Real Estate. Keihan Real Estate, an integrated developer, has a rich history of over a century in the railway business and is part of the Keihan group. This corporate group, consisting of 50 companies, focuses its core business operations in the fields of transportation, real estate, retail distribution, and leisure/service.
