Bentong: An elderly man who was reported missing on Sunday in the Chegar Medang Benus area, Bentong, was found safe this afternoon. Bentong district police chief Supt Mohd Zaiham Kahar stated that the victim, Mohd Taib Ismail, 69, was discovered by the search and rescue (SAR) team at approximately 3.15 pm today in a bush area, near the Department of Irrigation and Drainage's Kampung Chegar Medang flood warning system station.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim was found in a weak condition and has been sent to Bentong Hospital for a health check-up. The authorities have not yet obtained clear information regarding the senior citizen's reason for being in the area. It was noted that the victim suffers from memory problems and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Additionally, Mohd Zaiham expressed gratitude to the SAR team and the residents in the area who were involved in helping to locate the victim.
