Kampung paku: An elderly man has been remanded for six days to assist in investigations into the suspected murder of his wife in Kampung Paku yesterday. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Tun Faez Fikhrie Tun Asrul Saini at the Magistrate's Court here, from today until 7 Dec, to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 63-year-old suspect, clad in lock-up attire, arrived at the court at 9.25 am in a police vehicle. Media reports yesterday indicated that the victim, 40-year-old Mastura Abdullah, was believed to have been killed by her husband at a house in the village.
