Kuala sat: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is set to commence electricity supply connection works in Kuala Sat, Jerantut, starting this Sunday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, TNB CareLine announced via a Facebook post that the application for the supply connection was initially received from a contractor at the end of December 2025. Subsequently, TNB submitted an application to the relevant authorities in January of the current year to facilitate the pole installation works.
The post highlighted that the execution of the project is contingent upon approval from the relevant authorities, addressing safety, technical aspects, and compliance with land status and right-of-way permissions. TNB received the go-ahead for pole installation on May 17, and these works commenced today, aiming to start supply connection works by May 24.
The announcement follows a viral video featuring a man holding a placard by the roadside, aiming to draw the attention of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, to the electricity supply issue his family faced. His Royal Highness, who was visiting the district, was seen stopping his vehicle to meet the family.
Acknowledging the critical need for electricity as a basic facility for family life, TNB affirmed its commitment to collaborating with relevant parties to ensure similar issues are proactively addressed. The company emphasized the importance of managing such cases in a more orderly and inclusive manner with the authorities moving forward.
