ETS, KTM Intercity Tickets Available for Early 2024 Travel

Kuala lumpur: Tickets for the Electric Train Service (ETS) and KTM Intercity will be available for purchase starting at 10:00 am on Monday, November 17, for travel between January 1 and April 30 next year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced in a statement that this initiative aims to assist passengers in planning their journeys ahead of the festive season, public holidays, and school holidays. KTMB also revealed that, effective January 1, ETS and KTM Intercity train services, excluding the Shuttle Tebrau, will adhere to a new schedule.

For the ETS, there will be 34 daily trips, with two additional trips for the Kluang-KL Sentral-Kluang sector operating on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, increasing the total to 36 services per day. The KTM Intercity service, which includes Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (ERT) and Shuttle Timuran (ST), will follow a revised schedule with 16 daily services, comprising of two ERT services and 14 ST trips utilizing DMU trains.

Meanwhile, KTMB noted that ticket sales for the Ekspres Selatan service between JB Sentral and Gemas have been temporarily suspended, with a new date to be announced in the future. Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and verify the latest schedule through the KTMB Mobile application, official social media channels, website, or by contacting the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200.
