Evocom Bhd Seeks Enhanced Support for Smart Cities and Green Logistics Under Budget 2027

Semenyih:Evocom Bhd is advocating for a stronger focus on technology, artificial intelligence (AI), smart cities, and clean energy in the upcoming Budget 2027. The logistics support services company aims to expand its influence in route optimization and green logistics.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Esther Loo, executive director and deputy chief executive officer of Evocom, highlighted that these areas align closely with the company's objectives to improve route optimization and minimize unnecessary delivery routes. This approach supports the government's broader goals in smart city development and clean energy initiatives.

Dr. Loo emphasized that Budget 2027 addresses the growth of Malaysia, particularly in technology and AI. Evocom is keen on contributing to the development of smart cities and clean energy, which complements its future plans centered on optimizing delivery routes.

The Semenyih-based company, which plays a crucial role in supplying manpower for e-commerce logistics operations, recently made its debut on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia. Evocom is also exploring various strategies to assist the government, particularly in aiding low-wage workers, enhancing smart city data sharing, improving delivery efficiency, and promoting green energy.

Budget 2027 is slated to be presented by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Parliament on October 9, 2026.
