Sarawak: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick led a delegation from Bank Rakyat in a courtesy visit to Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (KUSKOP) stated that during the visit, Bank Rakyat discussed its plans for business expansion, including establishing service branches in Sarawak and its corporate social responsibility programmes.

Wan Junaidi, a former minister in the same ministry, was also briefed on several new initiatives. These include the proposed Cooperatives Act, updates from the Malaysian Cooperative Entrepreneurship University, and specific developments in Sarawak.

Present during the courtesy visit were KUSKOP secretary-general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud, Bank Rakyat chairman Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak, and acting chief executive officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff.
