Pasir Puteh:An express bus journey from Negeri Sembilan to Kota Bharu ended abruptly when it skidded and crashed into a surau at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Jawa 2 early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident occurred at approximately 450 a.m. on Kilometer 1, Jalan Selising-Kok Lanas, and involved a 60-year-old driver and three passengers, all of whom escaped without injury.

The Pasir Puteh police chief, Supt Saari Yaacob, reported that preliminary investigations suggest the bus lost control before the driver attempted to brake, resulting in the vehicle sliding and crashing into the surau. The case is currently being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59).

The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Traffic Assistant Investigation officer at the Pasir Puteh District Police Headquarters, Sergeant Muhammad Syahril Ishak, at 011-62963162, or to report to the nearest police station to aid in the investigation.
