FA Cup Champions: JDT Head Coach Says ‘Thank You Boss’ To TMJ’s Contributions

Johor bahru: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach Francisco Javier Munoz Llompart expressed his appreciation to the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail or fondly known as TMJ and the owner of JDT for his unwavering support and commitment to the team which he described as one of the key factors behind the club's success in winning the FA Cup four consecutive times. 'First of all I want to say thank you to the boss because he gives us all the best for everyday, try to have a big ambition and working very well and give one step forward. After that, I want to say thank you also to the players.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Llompart conveyed his gratitude to the players, acknowledging their hard work and dedication which have led to JDT's continued dominance. He praised the team for their superiority in the games, particularly after their latest victory where they defeated Sabah FC 5-0 to secure the FA Cup title for the fourth consecutive year. This victory marks JDT's fifth FA Cup win since the competition was rebranded in 2013.

Meanwhile, Sabah FC head coach Daniel Jean-Paul Desvaux De Marigny commented on the disallowed goal by Ajdic Mujagic in the 26th minute, which followed a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review for offside. He described the decision as perplexing, stating that Mujagic was clearly in front of the defender at the time. Despite his reservations about the officiating, De Marigny refrained from criticizing the referees, acknowledging the challenges of their role.

De Marigny emphasized that his players' performance demonstrated their commitment and spirit, even in the face of adversity. Despite being reduced to 10 men following the red card shown to midfield lynchpin Miguel Cifuentes, Sabah FC continued to compete with determination. De Marigny praised his team's passion and desire, asserting that their representation of Sabah was commendable.
