Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his condolences to the family of former Chief News Editor of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) S. Sivaselvam, who died early this morning. Fahmi expressed his sympathies on behalf of the Communications Ministry to Sivaselvam's family.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi acknowledged Sivaselvam's service and contributions to journalism, stating that they are appreciated and will be remembered. He conveyed his wishes for Sivaselvam's soul to rest in peace through a Facebook post.

Sivaselvam's widow, Lalitha S. Nadarajah, shared that her husband, known as Siva, passed away at the age of 77 at their home in Cheras around 3 am, following a short illness.
