Fahmi Offers Condolences After Loss of TV9 Editor to Cancer

Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his condolences to the family of Nur Hanim Abdullah, an editor at TV9's News and Current Affairs Department, who died after a battle with cancer today. She was 45.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post today, Fahmi expressed that all the contributions and services of the late Nur Hanim to the field of journalism and broadcasting in the country will always be remembered. Fahmi stated, "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. I have just received the sad news of the passing of another media practitioner. My condolences to the family of the late Nur Hanim Abdullah, as well as her colleagues at Media Prima Berhad, on the loss of a highly dedicated individual, committed to her duties and well-liked by many."

Fahmi also prayed for her soul to be blessed and placed among the righteous. Nur Hanim breathed her last at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah, at about 1.45 pm.

With more than 22 years of experience in broadcasting and journalism, Nur Hanim began her career at NTV7 in 2004 as a reporter and assistant producer. She later served as a producer and editor of Buletin TV9, leaving an impact on the industry through her dedication and professionalism.
