Family Holds On To Hope As Search Continues For Missing Teen On Bukit Changkat Asa

Tanjong malim: The father of a teenage girl believed to have gone missing while hiking at Bukit Changkat Asa in Tanjong Malim last Saturday is hoping that the ongoing search and rescue (SAR) operation will uncover new leads in the effort to locate his daughter.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Azizul Abdul Aziz, 48, said he and his family have come to terms with all possibilities as the disappearance of his daughter, Nur Izzati Humaira, 18, entered its third day today. Azizul expressed that the family is prepared for any outcome, hoping that Nur Izzati Humaira can be found soon to be laid to rest properly if needed.

Azizul, who resides in Felda Trolak Utara, mentioned that his daughter, the second of four siblings, had not exhibited any unusual behavior prior to her disappearance. She had recently been cheerful after obtaining her driving license. Nur Izzati Humaira had also begun working at a restaurant near Maktab Rendah Sains MARA Sungkai and was actively involved in netball.

Azizul added that despite finishing school, Nur Izzati Humaira often returned to her former secondary school to help the sports teacher train the school team. Her interest in hiking developed in recent years, although Azizul was unable to join her on the recent trip.

On the day she went missing, Nur Izzati Humaira had been hiking with her mother, sister, aunt, and two cousins. She was last seen around 10.50 am, descending the hill ahead of her group because she felt hot and tired. At that time, she was wearing a brown hijab, a dark green long-sleeved shirt, black trousers, and blue shoes.
