Penang: The son of 51-year-old Sariya Che Hin, who was found dead, believed to have been murdered at a house in Kampung Sekolah Juru, Penang, yesterday, hopes for justice for the deaths of his mother and younger sister.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Noor Hafifi Hassan, 28, expressed his desire for justice, not just for his family but also to prevent such tragedies from happening to others. He emphasized the importance of family relationships and urged everyone to take this incident as a lesson.
He also requested the public to refrain from speculating about the deaths of his mother and his adopted younger sister. The bodies of kuih seller Sariya and 11-year-old Nur Afrina Alisha Abdul Rahim were discovered by Sariya's husband around 7:30 pm yesterday, believed to have been murdered.
Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail reported that the victim's husband has been remanded until Oct 25 to assist in the investigation. Mohd Noor Hafifi, who works as an engineer at a port in Manjong, Perak, shared his shock upon receiving the news soon after returning from work. He attempted to contact his mother via WhatsApp, but received no response.
The remains of Sariya and Nur Afrina Alisha were laid to rest at 8:30 pm today.
