According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar reported that they received an emergency call at 12:50 am. The first fire engine from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.
"The fire involved a single-story terrace house that was 80 percent destroyed. Two male victims, a 94-year-old father and his 62-year-old son, were found burnt to death inside the house," he stated in a statement today.
He mentioned that the operation was supported by fire rescue teams from Damansara, Rawang, and Bukit Jelutong, involving a total of 28 personnel and eight fire engines, including a Fire Rescue Tender, Emergency Medical Rescue Services, and water tankers.
"The fire also destroyed two cars, a Perodua Alza and a Perodua Kancil, which were both 80 percent damaged," he added.
Ahmad Mukhlis noted that the fire was fully controlled by 3:40 am, and both victims were confirmed dead by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia at the scene.
He stated that the JBPM K9 unit was deployed for forensic investigations and that the victims' bodies have been handed over to the police for further action.
"This morning, the fire team returned to the location for a follow-up operation and overhaul work to ensure the fire does not reignite," he said.
