FBM KLCI Futures Contract Declines in Line with Cash Market

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded the trading session lower today, mirroring the performance of the cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the April 2025 futures fell by 7.0 points to 1,490.0, while the May 2025 futures declined by 6.5 points to 1,488.0. Additionally, both the June 2025 and September 2025 futures eased by 5.5 points each, closing at 1,484.0 and 1,469.5, respectively.

The turnover increased to 4,182 lots from the previous 3,707 lots recorded on Friday. Meanwhile, open interest expanded to 44,174 contracts compared to 43,793 contracts previously.

By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index slightly rose by 0.07 of a point to 1,499.47, in contrast to Friday's closing figure of 1,499.40.
