FBM KLCI Futures Contract Sees Gains on Bursa Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, aligning with the performance of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot month June 2025 saw an increase of 13 points to 1,518.50. Meanwhile, the July 2025 contract rose 14.5 points to 1,517.50, the September 2025 contract appreciated by 13.5 points to 1,500.0, and the December 2025 contract improved by 14.5 points to 1,506.0.

Turnover for the day expanded to 4,814 lots, up from 4,096 lots on Wednesday. Open interest also increased, reaching 35,625 contracts compared to 34,744 contracts the previous day.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index itself advanced by 0.67 percent, or 10.15 points, to 1,518.12, compared to Wednesday's close of 1,507.97.
