FBM KLCI Futures Decline in Tandem with Cash Market

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives experienced a decline on Monday, aligning with the performance of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2025 and August 2025 contracts fell by 2.5 points, closing at 1,525.0 and 1,522.0, respectively. Meanwhile, the September 2025 contract remained unchanged at 1,504.0, and the December 2025 contract dropped by 3.0 points to settle at 1,505.0.

The turnover for the day decreased to 3,393 lots, compared to last Friday's 4,782 lots, while open interest saw a reduction to 38,075 contracts from the previous 38,963 contracts. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index itself fell by 1.27 points, closing at 1,524.59, down from last Friday's close of 1,525.86.
