Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Friday, tracking gains from the underlying cash market. At the close, the spot month August 2025 gained 5.0 points to 1,556.0. Meanwhile, September 2025 and December 2025 both rose 4.5 points to settle at 1,535.0 each. March 2026 climbed 4.0 points, reaching 1,520.5.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover decreased to 4,463 lots from 5,477 on Thursday. Open interest also saw a slight decline, inching down to 42,137 contracts from the previous 42,927.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 7.87 points or 0.51 percent, closing at 1,556.98 compared to Thursday's close of 1,549.11.
