Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Friday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot month August 2025 and September 2025 contracts rose 11.0 points each to 1,529.0 and 1,509.0, respectively. The December 2025 contract increased by 8.5 points to 1,509.0, while March 2026 stood at 1,497.5.
Turnover saw a decline, falling to 6,107 lots from 14,045 on Thursday. Open interest also decreased, shrinking to 41,270 contracts from 50,747 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI surged 20.10 points or 1.33 percent to close at 1,533.35, rising from Thursday's close of 1,513.25.
