Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly higher during early trading hours on Friday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.18 am, the August 2026 and December 2026 contracts saw an increase of 0.5 points, trading at 1,744.0 and 1,727.5, respectively. Meanwhile, the March 2027 contract gained two points, reaching 1,712.5. The September 2026 contract experienced a slight decrease, falling 0.5 points to 1,722.5.
The volume of trade was recorded at 1,271 contracts, with the open interest amounting to 49,054 contracts. At 10.14 am, the FBM KLCI index itself declined by 4.22 points, settling at 1,736.75, compared to the previous day's close of 1,741.72.
