FBM KLCI Futures Show Mixed Performance in Early Trading

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives displayed a mixed performance in early trade today. At 9.15 am, the March 2025 note experienced a decline of 1.0 point to 1,561.0, while the June 2025 contract was down by half-a-point at 1,565.0. In contrast, the February 2025 contract remained unchanged at 1,583.0, and the September 2025 contract was not traded.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the session stood at 6,560 lots, with open interest recorded at 48,153 contracts. These figures reflect the trading activity and interest in the futures market at the start of the day.

The benchmark FBM KLCI itself saw a decline of 4.03 points, settling at 1,580.22 after 36 minutes of trading. This performance provides an overview of the market conditions that traders and investors are responding to in their decision-making processes.
