FDAM Partners with Tekun Nasional to Provide Sharia-Compliant Financing for Film Industry

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Film Directors' Association (FDAM) has formed a strategic partnership with the National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (Tekun Nasional) to offer sharia-compliant financial solutions to its members. This collaboration aims to enhance the development of local film production projects by providing much-needed financial access.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, FDAM chairman Datuk Afdlin Shauki announced that the partnership enables association members to apply for financing through the Contract-i Financing Scheme and the Tekun Niaga Scheme. These schemes are designed to address the capital constraints that many industry players face, thus supporting the growth and sustainability of local film production.

Datuk Afdlin Shauki emphasized that this initiative is a testament to FDAM's commitment to advocating for its members' interests and ensuring the continuity of their creative endeavors. Through this collaboration, FDAM aims to empower local producers by facilitating access to essential financial resources, thereby fostering a more robust and resilient film industry in Malaysia.
