Federal Government Ensures Equal Treatment for All States, Says Anwar

Senggarang: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized today that the Federal Government under his leadership has never marginalized any state or community based on political affiliation, especially concerning issues related to the people's welfare and well-being.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar, who is also the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, highlighted the government's dedication through the implementation of several development initiatives and strategic infrastructure projects across the nation, including in Johor, Kelantan, and Kedah. He noted that the government has been proactive in aiding states beyond just election periods, citing significant projects such as the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and flood mitigation efforts in Segamat and Muar.

During the 'Yok! Meriahkan Johor! Undi Harapan' program in Senggarang, Anwar reiterated the Federal Government's commitment to prioritizing the welfare of citizens and state development, even in opposition-led states like Kelantan and Kedah. He underlined his administration's response to the needs of these states, especially during natural disasters, regardless of their political stance.

Anwar also shared plans to collaborate with Thailand's Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul for the opening of a road linking the Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex in Malaysia with the Sadao CIQ Complex in Thailand, demonstrating ongoing regional cooperation.

In the education sector, Anwar assured that the MADANI Government maintains an inclusive approach, supporting institutions irrespective of political affiliations. He mentioned the 10-year extension of tax exemption granted to Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) as an example of the government's commitment to education.

The 'Yok! Meriahkan Johor! Undi Harapan' program was one of three campaign events attended by Anwar in Johor, underlining his support for PH candidates and their election efforts in the upcoming state election.
