Kuala lumpur: The Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) must continue to be strengthened as an institution tasked with uplifting the dignity of settlers and their families, stated Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Prime Minister highlighted this during a courtesy call by new FELDA chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir in Putrajaya yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar, who also serves as the Finance Minister, emphasized that the welfare of every generation of settlers should align with efforts to enhance FELDA's economic competitiveness and sustainability. He underscored the importance of addressing issues faced by the younger generation within the FELDA community.

Anwar expressed confidence in Ahmad Badri's ability to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him and continue the agenda of restoring and strengthening FELDA. He assured that the MADANI Government would provide full support to ensure that FELDA, which serves the people, continues to progress and remain relevant for future generations.

Ahmad Badri assumed the position of FELDA chairman effective July 15, succeeding Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, whose term of service concluded on June 30.
