Festive Atmosphere As KMJG 2025 Convoy Rolls Through Kedah

Kedah: The Kedah leg of Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2025 convoy entered its third day today with lively celebrations and a strong public turnout, including participation from students at checkpoints in several districts.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kedah Information Department (JAPEN) director Nurazila Azizan stated that the KMJG 2025 convoy in Kedah began on Tuesday after receiving the Jalur Gemilang from Penang JAPEN at C-Mart Serai Wangi in Padang Serai, Kulim. The Kedah leg involves five checkpoints, and today marks the third. Two more checkpoints are scheduled for tomorrow in Sik and Baling.

Along the convoy route, several tourist destinations were visited, and the response from the local community was very encouraging. For instance, before heading to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Dato' Syed Omar, the convoy was greeted by students from primary schools and preschool children.

The Kedah KMJG 2025 convoy is set to proceed to Sik, with a stop at Felda Teloi Timur, before concluding at the final checkpoint in Baling tomorrow. At the final checkpoint in Baling, the convoy is expected to be welcomed by the Orang Asli community, marking a unique engagement as previous visits included areas with Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities. This inclusion aims to inspire love for the country and respect for the Jalur Gemilang among the Orang Asli community.

Nurazila noted that the convoy, consisting of eight vehicles from various agencies and 12 high-powered motorcycles, will then proceed to Pengkalan Hulu, Perak, to hand over the convoy baton to the Perak JAPEN team.
