Kuala lumpur: The inaugural 'MASB Belanja and Menang' campaign recorded nearly 1.9 million transactions across 14 domestic airports during the campaign period from Aug 1 to Dec 31, 2025, according to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the airport operator stated that the airports participating in the campaign are situated in Alor Setar, Bintulu, Kota Bharu, Labuan, Miri, Sandakan, Kuala Terengganu, Tawau, Ipoh, Kuantan, Lahad Datu, Limbang, Mukah, and Sibu. This initiative reflects Malaysia Airports' commitment to strengthening the role of domestic airports as catalysts for local economic activity, while enhancing the visitor experience across the country. It was introduced to encourage shopping and dining activities at airports, while rewarding visitors who spend at participating business premises within the airports.
Malaysia Airports senior general manager of commercial services Hani Ezra Hussin noted that the campaign demonstrates that domestic airports are not just transportation hubs but also play a vital role in supporting local economic growth through commercial activities. She emphasized that the campaign's success highlights the huge potential of the domestic airport network to stimulate business activity, create opportunities for local entrepreneurs, and enrich the visitor experience.
Malaysia Airports also announced the top winners of the campaign, who were selected from nearly 9,700 entries received throughout the campaign period. The grand prize is a Perodua Axia SE. The company also plans to continue the 'MASB Belanja and Menang' campaign this year by offering even more attractive prizes and rewards.
