Fitch Learning Expands With MALS, CSI Acquisition

New york: Fitch Learning has completed its acquisition of Moody's Analytics Learning Solutions (MALS) and the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), strengthening its position as a global provider of financial training and professional certifications. The deal brings together three established learning providers, creating a combined business serving more than 92,000 finance professionals across 148 countries.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fitch Learning chief executive officer, Andreas Karaiskos, emphasized that the acquisition is about creating more opportunities for growth for organizations and individuals. He noted that integrating both organizations' expertise and learning technologies will help clients build future-ready teams in fast-changing markets.

The enlarged portfolio spans commercial and consumer banking, credit risk, wealth and investment management, investment and corporate banking, and professional skills, as well as data analytics and artificial intelligence. CSI will retain its brand and continue overseeing its well-known certifications for the Canadian financial sector, while the MALS brand will be retired, and its programs absorbed into Fitch Learning's suite of offerings.

Karaiskos stated that the transaction represents a transformative milestone for the company, its clients, and learners across the financial services sector, as it broadens its global talent development capabilities. Bringing the three organizations together creates a unified platform aimed at transforming financial education with more flexible, technology-enabled learning that supports professionals in strengthening their skills and advancing their careers.
